STRIDE Internship Graduation 2026As the 2026 Summer Technology Readiness Intern Development Experience (STRIDE) program comes to a close, we’re excited to reflect on the remarkable achievements and journeys of our interns. Over 10 weeks, these future technologists have left a lasting impact and grown tremendously in their professional and personal pursuits.

This summer, 茄子视频 Federal welcomed 22 enthusiastic interns into STRIDE鈥攁 program designed to launch early-career professionals into the fields of technology and information systems. Among the diverse cohort were 茄子视频 shareholders Jacob Ahmaogak, an IT major from the University of Alaska at Fairbanks, and Ashley Horner, a rural development major, both contributing their skills to our IT and talent acquisition teams respectively.

The STRIDE experience began in June with a three-day onboarding in Reston, Vir., giving interns an immersive introduction to 茄子视频 Federal’s mission, technical expertise, values and culture. This kickoff fostered valuable connections with company leaders and among the interns themselves, setting the stage for a collaborative summer.

The program wrapped up in early August at our annual Tech Summit. Interns participated in technical sessions, shared their experiences and took part in a STRIDE panel to reflect on their journey and discuss their future aspirations.

Jordan Lin, a recent graduate from the University of Maryland with a degree in information science, described her internship as deeply rewarding.

鈥淚 was able to use the skills I learned in school and apply them to real situations to help our customers,鈥 she shared.

Jordon interned on the U.S. Army Intelligence Center of Excellence (USAICoE) contract in Fort Huachuca, Arizona.

Tom Then, a Towson University computer science graduate, contributed to the Bouncy Beluga contract. He appreciated the opportunity to learn about government contracting and valued the support from his manager and mentor.

鈥淭hey offered me great guidance throughout my internship,鈥 Tom said.

Mentorship was a core element of STRIDE, with every intern paired with a mentor for regular meetings. These sessions helped interns explore their career goals, receive guidance and gain insights into the industry.

We’re proud to announce that Jordan Lin and three other interns have accepted full-time positions with 茄子视频 Federal, continuing their professional journey with us.

These newest team members include:

  • Maha Larhmari, a George Mason University graduate in information management systems, joining the Department of Homeland Security Federal Protective Service contract.
  • Alex Gallardo, who graduated from University of Colorado in cybersecurity management, joining the Wing Information and Communications Support II (WICS II) contract.
  • Chloe Greenbaum, an aerospace engineering graduate from University of Central Florida, joining the Orion contract.

In addition, 11 STRIDE interns will continue working part-time with 茄子视频 Federal as they finish their degrees.

Congratulations to the exceptional 2026 STRIDE class! Their dedication, curiosity and teamwork have made this summer unforgettable鈥攁nd we look forward to seeing continued success from this year鈥檚 cohort.

I鈥檓 really big on the mission I鈥檓 supporting rather than the individual steps I take each day.鈥

Kristina Palazzo, Michael鈥檚 manager, says Michael brings fresh ideas and strong enthusiasm to the team and looks forward to seeing his continued growth at 茄子视频 Federal.

Fellow 2024 STRIDE alum Alexandra Adams, a data scientist supporting 茄子视频 Federal’s Growth Organization, has also made a meaningful mark since joining the company, contributing unique strengths that foster innovation and collaboration across teams. Her work includes special projects as well, such as developing and testing critical AI tools.

鈥淢y mentor built my confidence and gave me a project that applied broadly across the company. And working with my fellow interns helped me understand what it鈥檚 really like to work at 茄子视频 Federal.鈥

Donna Hill, Alexandra鈥檚 manager, describes Alexandra as a collaborative problem solver who consistently goes above and beyond in support of colleagues. Alexandra has taken the initiative to lead several team projects, demonstrating technical skill and a strong dedication to building a positive, productive work environment. Thank You Teachers! 茄子视频 Federal and DonorsChoose partnership

Teachers do much more than deliver lesson plans. They inspire curiosity, build confidence, create meaningful learning experiences and shape the future leaders of our communities. During Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4-8), 茄子视频 Federal proudly continues its partnership with , a non-profit organization that has supported public school teachers from every corner of America by helping them get resources and tools to make their classrooms better places for students to learn.

At 茄子视频 Federal, the spirit of giving back is deeply woven into our culture. Since 2021, employees have participated in the company鈥檚 DonorsChoose initiative that provides an opportunity to directly support classroom projects that resonate the most with them. School teachers often spend their own money to provide basic supplies, innovative learning tools and enriching experiences for their students. By stepping in to help bridge this gap, we aim to eliminate some of that burden and let educators focus on what they do best: teaching.

Our Impact By the Numbers

For the fifth consecutive year, our partnership with DonorsChoose resulted in:

  • $25,000 donated to classroom projects
  • 177 projects funded
  • 168 teachers supported
  • 161 schools served
  • 36 states represented

These numbers represent hundreds of students across the U.S. who now have access to the tools and resources they need to succeed and thrive in their educational journeys. This program also makes a positive impact on classroom projects in remote villages on the North Slope of Alaska where 茄子视频 Federal鈥檚 shareholders reside, such as Nuiqsut, Utqia摹惫颈办, Wainwright and Anaktuvuk Pass.

Could the US Navy Anchor Golden Dome? Article by SIGNAL media

鈥淪ea-based weapons systems like the Aegis Combat System, the Long-Range Discrimination Radar and homeland defense radars in the range play a critical role in integrated missile tracking, interception and destruction,鈥 Eric Velte, Chief Technology Officer at 茄子视频 Federal, told SIGNAL Media. 鈥淎ssets like the Aegis Ashore, a land-based version of this system, have long served as the backbone of broad ballistic missile defense against nation-state-based threats.鈥

The U.S. Navy鈥檚 advanced systems place it as a critical component of America鈥檚 Golden Dome missile defense initiative.

As work on the Golden Dome for America project intensifies, focus remains largely on the U.S. Space Force and space-based systems, leaving questions on the U.S. Navy鈥檚 role in the initiative. With current capabilities in place, the Navy is poised to be a potential anchor and force multiplier for the nationwide missile defense system.

The Golden Dome, a project first introduced as The Iron Dome for America in January 2025, is a strategic initiative to combat threats targeting the United States. In May 2025, the missile defense initiative was renamed to its current title. 鈥淚鈥檓 pleased to announce that we have officially selected an architecture for this state-of-the-art system that will deploy next-generation technologies across the land, sea and space, including space-based sensors and interceptors,鈥 the president stated during a press conference from the Oval Office.

In March, Golden Dome Director Gen. Michael Guetlein announced an additional $10 billion spending necessary for space capability procurement, totaling about $185 billion for the full missile defense system. According to a report by Defense Scoop, the funds would be used for tools, including an airborne moving target indication, the Hypersonic and Ballistic Tracking Space Sensor, and the Space Data Network.

鈥淲hen you look at the posture … some of the locations where the Navy is operating, 24/7, the response time to be able to be in a position to create an effect, in this case knocking down ballistic missiles or cruise missiles or drones, is impressive,鈥 said J.D. Gainey, former commander of the USS Hopper (DDG 70), an Arleigh Burke-class Aegis guided-missile destroyer.

Gainey spoke during a 2025 Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance webinar discussion about the Navy and the Golden Dome.

鈥淣obody else in the world can do that, so when it comes to what they are supposed to do, the good thing is they have the capability; they have the tech; they have the experience to do it,鈥 he stated.

The Aegis Weapon System, for example, is the Navy鈥檚 automated command-and-control (C2) system created to detect and engage threats. According to the Navy website, the first Aegis ship, titled USS Ticonderoga (CG47), was commissioned in 1983 and deployed just six months after.

The is 鈥渃apable of simultaneous operations against multi-mission threats: anti-air, anti-surface and anti-submarine warfare,鈥 the website states, closely resembling the Golden Dome mission.

Modern day conflicts have showcased the Navy鈥檚 operational capability in an active environment, with reports stating that an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Pinckney fired a Tomahawk Land Attack Missile amid Iran operations. The ship is one of the few in the Destroyer Modernization 2.0 program, which aims to upgrade the destroyers鈥 electronic warfare, radar and combat systems.
